Shepherd Kruse
Junior at the United States Air Force Academy
Biography
Shepherd Kruse is a junior at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO studying Astronautical engineering. Shepherd has started numerous programs including Blue Horizon Rocketry and BioBorn, A Grassroots Approach to Transform PPE. Shepherd has used high altitude balloons to research the effect of magnetism on radiation levels, collect microbial samples for NASA, and filmed the 2017 solar eclipse from 80,000 ft. Currently, he is working on a global communication network utilizing high altitude balloons and the Internet of Things.
